DIY Natural Household Cleaners: Safe, Effective & Eco-Friendly

Making your own all-natural cleaners is easier than you think! These economical, safe, and environmentally friendly recipes are free from harmful chemicals, making them perfect for pets, babies, children, and the elderly.

Customize Your Cleaner with Essential Oils

To Deter Mice: Add Peppermint oil
To Fight Mold & Bacteria: Use Rosemary, Thyme, or Auntie Septic Blend
For Trailers & Cabins: Use Auntie Septic (antimicrobial) or Peppermint (rodent repellent)
For Baby’s Room: Add Lavender for a soothing, gentle scent

All-Natural Spray Cleaner

Ingredients:

380g Water or Colloidal Silver
50g natural surfactant
15g Vinegar or Citric Acid (natural disinfectant)
3g Essential Oil of Choice

Instructions:
1️⃣ Mix all ingredients together.
2️⃣ Pour into a spray bottle.
3️⃣ Shake before each use.

✅ Works on countertops, appliances, glass, and more!

All-Purpose Cleaner (Thicker Formula)

🧴 Ingredients:

360g Water or Colloidal Silver
50g natural soap or surfactant
15g Citric Acid
3g Essential Oil of Choice
3g Glycerin (for extra shine & conditioning)
1g Xanthan Gum (natural thickener)

Instructions:
1️⃣ Mix glycerin with xanthan gum. Slowly add water, blending with a stick blender until smooth.
2️⃣ In a separate bowl, mix soap with essential oil. Stir well.
3️⃣ Slowly add this mixture to the water mixture. DO NOT use a stick blender to mix (to prevent excess bubbles).
4️⃣ Dissolve citric acid in a small amount of water, then add to the blend.
5️⃣ Pour into a bottle and shake before each use.

✅ Great for kitchen counters, bathrooms, and deep cleaning tasks!

🌿 Citrus Fresh: Limonene + Bergamot + Lemon
🌲 Woodsy Clean: Pine + Fir + Cedar
🦠 Germ Fighter: Auntie Septic + Rosemary + Tea Tree
🐭 Mice Repellent: Peppermint + Eucalyptus
🛁 Bathroom Fresh: Lemon + Lavender + Eucalyptus

I have tried many “pain-relieving” products over the years to no avail. The Mercy spray is wonderful - it works quickly and has a pleasant scent (not overly medicinal). I have shared the love and have converted family members to the Mercy products as well. (Cream and soak are great too, but spray is my personal fave!)
