Homemade all NATURAL household cleaner Recipes

Economical, safe, environmentally friendly household cleaner recipes. 

Making your own all natural cleaners that work incredibly well is much easier than you may think.  It doesn't take special equipment, you can use a measuring cup if you don't have a scale and the measurement does not have to be precise.  You cannot fail at these recipes. Use essential oils you have on hand or use our discount essential oils to make it even more economical.  These cleaners are safe for pets, babies, children, the elderly and can be tailored to suit how strong you want the smell and what scents you like. 

You can tailor them for the what you want to use them for by using different essential oils.  For instance to:

Deter mice,  add peppermint oil. 

Molds: add rosemary or thyme or Auntie Septic. 

Trailers and cabins: AuntieSeptic for killing microbes or Peppermint for deterring mice  

Cleaning the babies room, use lavender.

All Natural Spray Cleaner

380gr water or colloidal silver
50gr decyl glucoside
50gr coco glucoside
15gr vinegar or citric acid
3gr limonene (Not necessary but does help make an even better cleaner)
3gr Essential oil
Makes 500gr/ 2cp cleanser
Combine all. Pour into spray bottle (available at dollar stores)

Decyl glucoside,  coco glucoside and limonene are available from Soap and More, Voyageur, or New Directions at very reasonable prices.  

All purpose Cleanser

360 gr water or colloidal silver
50 gr decyl glucoside
50 gr cocoglucoside
15 gr citric acid
3 gr limonene (Not necessary but does help make an even better cleaner)
3 gr Essential Oil
3 gr glycerin
1 gr xanthan gum

Mix glycerin with xanthan gum. Using stick blender, very slowly add water until smooth blend is achieved. This will be slightly thick. Mix coco and decyl together in separate bowl. Add limonene and eo. Blend with spoon. Add to water mixture. Do NOT use stick blender to mix as you will end up with bubbles everywhere. Mix citric acid with a little water and add to the blend.

This can be made in mL if you do not have a scale.

Glycerin is available at most pharmacies.  Xanthan gum is available from Superstore. 

3gr= a little more than 1/2 a teaspoon
15 gr =3 teaspoons

Limonene smells like citrus so you can combine anything that goes with citrus for cleaning.

Pine, fir, cedar all work well.
Peppermint will help keep mice away
Aunti Septic is anti microbial, antibacterial, antiviral so will kill germs and molds. Bergamot goes nicely with limonene
Rosemary may deter certain ticks and mosquitoes, antiseptic antimicrobial

**If enough people ask for it, we will make these recipes unscented ready to use in 1 litre bottles for purchase.  All you have to do is add your own essential oils.
